Your yellow mater in this photo looks like our "yellow perfection". It tastes really good though. It got ripe early and has produced a lot of fruit. It doesn't really "crack" but does make little ring scabs at the top. I think it may be an heirloom.

I disagree with the guy who says they're bitter.
I grew some taxi this year and wasn't overly impressed. The other yellow/orangey variety I grew was called Bursztyn and was sensationally delicious!
