Neat! I haven't tried planting garlic yet. The stuff from the store is so cheap, it hardly seems worth the effort unless it tastes a lot better.
I know what you mean. It is pretty cheap at the store. But yes, homegrown varieties do tend to taste significantly better. Especially the hardnecks. But hardnecks don't last as long, which is why they are rarely sold.
