"music" garlic

Add caption
Time to get the garlic in the ground. I found music garlic at Peaceful Valley for a very good price, but the prices seem way higher than they were a couple of months ago. Hmm. But it is still half the price of other  companies.
big cloves

Typically 4-6 cloves per bulb.
I chose this variety because it is supposed to be one of the longest lasting hardneck garlic varieties and the yield is supposed to be quite high.

Neat! I haven't tried planting garlic yet. The stuff from the store is so cheap, it hardly seems worth the effort unless it tastes a lot better.

I know what you mean. It is pretty cheap at the store. But yes, homegrown varieties do tend to taste significantly better. Especially the hardnecks. But hardnecks don't last as long, which is why they are rarely sold.
