Mexican strain tomatillo
I planted some of these Mexican Strain Tomatillos last year... I was totally surprised at the flavor. I made a roasted salsa out of the tomatillos and devoured it within minutes. This year I planted a whole row and they are coming along well.

Amy I think you can erase that "wannabe" word preceding "gardener." You're bonafide already, girl!! Those tomatilloes look interesting. Have you tried the ground cherry or pineapple tomatillo? If not, you should consider them next year. They grow just like the Mex. tomatilloes in that they fall from the plant when they're ripe. But the flavor is sweet like pineapple or grapes. Guy would love them.
Yes, and Guy does love them. But they failed to grow for ne this year.
